how much is that puppy in the window?
i saw the google cam drive by in old montreal and all i could think was "run run! take a picture!" but my dignity kicked in and i told myself "don't be an ambulance chaser, you geek." on the upside, as i'm eating lunch, we happen to look across the street and there's this dog in the window.
people kept walking by and stopping, gawking, smiling then moving on.
this capture is one of those magic unspeakable moments. you're smiling but you're not. you think "how cute is that?!" then you think some more and it's not so cute. things go through your head like "why is he crossed-eyed?" "aww, his eyes are red, no wonder he has a disc on." the more you think about it, you're wondering if you're being cruel by laughing at this poor animal's misfortune. or maybe you can?
i have to admit, we had a good laugh taking these pics. the dog kept turning away so i had to wait for it to pose properly. we were giggling things like, "c'mon baby, look over here / toss your head to the left / over the shoulder / make love to the camera." :D
then as i process this pic, more things go through my head like "what's that bump in my pocket? oh yeah, chapstick. your head looks skinny. fix your hair, there's too much blonde. why does your ass look huge. cuz it is. etc. "
