Early parasite

Apalus bimaculatus (Coleoptera, Meloidae) female. Body length: 12 mm.


This species of blister beetles known as a parasite of solitary bees. There's an old post I made about this species, find it here:


Mixed light shot with the MP-E65 lens at 1.4x magnification. Since they are active on the ground level I had to lay the camera on the ground.
