Employee wins first place in wrestling competition

Adewale Adelakun, a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Europe District mechanical engineer, won first place in the Beginner Men, Lightweight class Submission Wrestling competition at the 2012 Grappling Games in Ansbach, Germany July 7. The competition is a combination of wrestling, martial arts, and Sambo. Adelakun started training in Jiu Jitsu in March as a way to enjoy the spirit of competition after assisting to coach wrestling at Wiesbaden High School. (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers courtesy photo)
