Rosetta is at Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko, making the most detailed study of a comet ever attempted. It is following the comet on its journey through the inner Solar System, measuring the increase in activity as the icy surface is warmed up by the Sun. On 12 November 2014, the Philae lander descended to the surface of the comet. After completing its primary science mission, as the last science data fed back to Earth, Philae’s power rapidly depleted and the lander entered standby mode.
