King Felipe VI of Spain visits Parliament
King Felipe VI of Spain visited the European Parliament on Wednesday 15 April on a tour of the European institutions in Brussels. He had a meeting with EP President Martin Schulz as well as one with the political group leaders to discuss various political issues. The King also took the opportunity to meet with Spanish MEPs.
King Felipe VI visited the Parliament in the morning, followed by visits to the European Commission and the Council later in the day. It was his first visit to the Parliament since becoming king last June, although he had already been to the Parliament before, the last time being in 1999 in Strasbourg.
