Bangladesh: responding to the Rohingya refugee crisis
The sprawling camps around Cox’s Bazar make up the world’s largest refugee settlement. The camps, like much of Bangladesh, is prone to seasonal flooding, landslides and cyclones. The EU and its partners have established early warning systems, helped reinforce houses to cope with storms, as well teaching disaster preparedness in local schools.
