Bangladesh: responding to the Rohingya refugee crisis

Healthcare is a vital service in the camps. The poor and overcrowded living conditions often result in acute watery diarrhea. Malaria, measels and other serious diseases are also common. The EU and its partners are treating tens of thousands of patients—like these ones in a clinic run by the International Rescue Committee—daily in Cox’s Bazar. Health promotion activities are also crucial in order to prevent outbreaks of disease.
