“Reality leaves a lot to the imagination.” ~John Lennon
My favorite legendary photographers include Annie Leibovitz, Cindy Sherman and Mick Rock. I am intrigued by artists (musicians, visual artists, writers and great actors) & I like seeing them in their element. Obviously, it was impossible for me to get Alex to get his gear off for this shot - he's shy, but it's always a pleasure to get a photo with him. This is a homage to the culmination of music and art, the things we love. I've always liked the Beatles and fascinated by how Yoko Ono is so infamously accused of breaking them up. I think the band's break-up was inevitable, it was bound to happen sooner or later, she was just a catalyst or maybe a scapegoat? LOL...
To me, John Lennon was more than a musician, he was a philosopher. He lived a full life fighting for his beliefs and passions; a true avant garde artist.
Lennon taught me that life is a rich tapestry of experiences both good and bad. Censorship is illusory, because at the end of the day, we're limited only by our imagination.
Have a fantastic and imaginative weekend dear friends. :o)
