Etna's secret, silent lava flow

Although the volcano is not showing any explosive activity today, Etna continues to emit a small lava flow from a vent at somewhere about 2800 m elevation near the "Belvedere" monitoring station, about 700 m from the New Southeast Crater (the dark feature in the upper left corner of the image). Photo taken at dusk on 24 February 2013, from my home in Tremestieri Etneo
