This morning, the Bocca Nuova exploded again.
At 05.46 h local time (=GMT+1) on 22 December 2010, the Bocca Nuova at Etna's summit produced a significant explosion, the largest since the powerful explosion on 25 August 2010. Only three days earlier, a spectacular explosive sequence had occurred at Stromboli.
