Babu, father of 8
I have just returned from a visit to newly flood-hit areas of southern Sindh, where I spoke to families coping with the latest flood emergency.
Babu, a father of 8, stands in the doorway of a school building in Tando Allah Yar district, where his family is taking refuge from the monsoon floods that have affected southern Pakistan. He and his family were rescued from their nearby village by army boats five weeks ago and are still waiting for the floodwaters to recede so they can return home. He hasn't received any assistance for three weeks, when his family got a month's suppy of food rations.
