K2 from the cockpit
Today I was fortunate to be on PIA's first air safari flight in seven years to K2, the second highest mountain in the world. With a peak elevation of 8,611 m (28,251 feet), at one point of the flight, K2 was higher than our plane - I've never flown that close to mountains before! We travelled on over the Karakoram and Himalayan mountain ranges before returning to Islamabad.
