Dead Sea floater

The Dead Sea lies 400m below sea level and is hyper-salty (approx. 33% salinity) causing bathers to bob and float on the surface. The water feels oily on the skin, is truly revolting to taste, and stings painfully if it gets in your eyes. It is a hostile environment to all marine life, other than extremophile algae and bacteria.
