Autumn to winter transition
Best viewed in LARGE (Contacts only, sorry).
Excuse me if I fail to visit your stream, I'm currently working as a dog in my house, painting, assembling new furniture; Busy with the planning of the new house; Preparing everything for the little one to arrive; etc; etc.
I hope I will be able to find some time here and there but I can't promise a thing.

Almost all my photos are geotagged !!!
An autumn to winter transition.
This came to be purely by accident, I was pretty amazed when I had processed these two shots and saw how similar the composition actually was, I didn't plan this,
the second shot was taken more than 20 days later than the first. Just look at it, spitting image composition wise.
Makes me wonder how that little head of me works, it seems that these composition 'rules' are somehow hard wired in my brain.
Autumn is during sunset ( happing at the left ).
Winter is during sunrise ( happening at the back right ). -15°C
So I put both images on top of each other, perform a little free transform of the top layer with the opacity lowered to be able to see the underlying image. After that added a mask and performed a gradient to blend the two together.
I posted these separate shots side by side a long time ago, you can find them here :
Autumn at f/9 taken on 19th of december 2008
Winter at f/13 taken on 10th of january 2009
Standard 3 exposure HDR [-2,0,+2EV] using the Simga 10-20mm lens on a tripod.
Tonemapped using the detail enhancer.
All comments, criticism and tips for improvements are ( as always ) welcome.
