    Okay, that's just a BIT of a markdown. 1 year of the Wall Street Journal AND all online for 99 bucks, down from 576. HALP!

      Funny enough, when I was just a wee college kid, I worked at the Austin American Statesman as a telemarketer. YEP, HELL!! Anyway, thats how we sold papers. We called people up and offered them at such a ridiculously low price, people would feel like they were getting the deal of the century. Of course the paper made all their money from ad sales anyway so the need for a "sales" price of any amount is an illusion. They allowed us to offer them for free too. Anything to get all those advertisements delivered.

      Naturally, I'm SO getting a subscription. I actually like the WSJ, just hate paying for it. I always ganked ones around the office.

      not bad for some trees and ink. us aussies need the money anyway... so rupe can pass it on to lachie, james, elisabeth... and prudence...
