Polaroid 110B with Sony alpha nex-5 as digital back, using 4x5 holder and e mount lens adapter

    Newer Older

I guess a lazy, rainy week end ask for a new project. My old converted 4x5 polaroid 110B was in the storage ever since fuji stopped producing the quickloads. with a duck take and a cardbord I attached the e-mount canon to it and placed instead of the galss in the 4x5 back.

Nice results fun to do and I gueass my next test will be to link it to the old lienhoff techinka.

I see you are a fan of depth of field bouquet. The option of placing it on 4x5 back and if you can change the degree of the back will give amazing distortion options. Enjoy :)

How do you get both the digi cam and polaroid's shutter to work together?

    5. eraneran70 50 months ago | reply

you open the shutter in B mode and lock it (in th epolaroid lens). then you can close the aperture or open it. In the Sony nex you shot at speed priorety od manual and set your iso. so instead of having the aperture in the sony you use the one on the polaroid with an open shutter.

Hi how do you think is it possible to create it with POLAROID 220 and sony nex5 ?

    13. eraneran70 30 months ago | reply

Yes all you need is to position it on the back and make sure it is all sealed to light. Make sure the inner of the polaroid is dust free, when you change to focal length air actually move inside and dust might land in the nex sensor and mechanics. Good luck.
