The technological age has brought new tools for hate groups to spread their
message and recruit new members. From the livestreaming of extremist acts to the
grooming of the perpetrators of hate crimes, social media technology allows for the
rise of global networks of hate that require global responses. In this session,
panelists will discuss the ways that the tech community currently combats the use
of technology to spread hate and extremism and provide suggestions for how those
efforts can be enhanced and strengthened.
