Chex Party Mix

This batch was made by Amy from a family recipe that is only very slightly altered from the 1952 original. Suggestions that the recipe be tinkered with--adding real garlic and some good olive oil and parmesan cheese, or maybe combining with some fish sauce and srirachi and then topping it with cilantro--are usually met with fierce resistance and banishment from the kitchen.
