Barclay-Vesey Building

The Barclay-Vesey Building (also known as the Verizon Building) is largely considered to be the first art-deco skyscraper. It was built in 1926, and designed by Ralph Walker of McKenzie, Voorhees & Gmelin Architects.

I say a little more about this building on my New York City landmarks blog The Masterpiece Next Door.
