South Street Seaport panorama #31
This is the east side of Front Street, between Fulton and John Streets. 18 Fulton Street and 195 Front constitute the western part of Schermerhorn Row, built between 1811-2. 193 and 191 may have been built as a pair before 1793 but both have been subjected to so many alterations it's hard to tell. 181-189 Front Street are two Greek Revival warehouses built in 1835-6. (Look in the larger versions of this photo and you'll notice a Coach store and long-time Seaport tenant Brookstone.) The cause of all the reflections raining down on these buildings is the sun hitting 1 Seaport Plaza.
#31 in my series of panoramas documenting every block in the South Street Seaport Historic District. I say a little more about the Schermerhorn Row Block, South Street Seaport, and the Historic District on my landmarks blog.
