The Quogue Life-Saving Station

From 1848 to 1915 the U.S. Life Saving Service (which later became the U.S. Coast Guard) was dedicated to rescuing shipwrecked individuals; this building in Quogue, Long Island, is one of their many stations that used to dot the East Coast. It's now a private residence.
