I went out to shoot pictures of a cemetery I pass every day on my way to work. It held no meaning for me until I saw this man kneeling in front of a headstone dated 1968. I took this one shot from a distance (200mm) and then just watched. He was there for 10 minutes. As he was getting ready to leave, he patted the top of the headstone a few times. Then he stood and saluted.

Part of me wishes I shot that moment. Part of me is glad I didn't.
