Lepidoptera : Saturniidae
The first camera I bought for insect photography was an Olympus E-401. The bad news is that I lost it at an airport. The good news is that I lost it at an airport. I later found out the "noise" level of the E-401 sensor was too high for doing extreme insect macro. I bought the Nikon D90 to replace the E-401, and immediately noticed the improvement in the image clarity.
The image above actually came out pretty good, because this Luna moth is a very large insect and does not have intricate detail like, say, a fly or a wasp.
