For years i have wanted to know how to take photos of smoke and last week i finally bought all the equipment i need to do it properly. This piece is inspired by a Guy called Mehmet Ozgur. It was his photos in Photography monthly that started it all.
To create the image i reflected a single photo of smoke and removed all the unwanted parts. i then played around with the channel mixer in photoshop and inverted the colours. Next i cut out an photo of a business man using the pen tool to make a silhouette. Finally i created the shadows using the feather tool and transform.
My photoshop skills are slowly improving with each effort and even though i am very pleased with this photo i hope to improve further.
If you like this photo please look at my other smoke images in my photo stream.
