Nepal - October 2008
This set of photos is from a trip I took to Nepal in Oct. 2008. I met my father in Kathmandu and we spent a few days in the capital before flying on a tiny little plane to Lukla in the Khumbu region of the Himalayas.

We spent 17 days trekking in the Khumbu without any sign of vehicles. For about a week of the trip we were completely off the grid with no news, no internet, no sports scores - but what we did have was mountain views. We were able to catch a glimpse of some of the world's tallest peaks including Everest, Makalu, and Cho Oyu.

In 17 days we ascended and descended 60,000 total feet and covered over 100 miles. Our highest elevation reached was 16,184 ft - higher than any point in the continental United States.

Please enjoy the photoset, put roughly in order of the trip. I'll try to add as much supplementary details as possible in the descriptions.
