Johannes is born in Greenland, and I met him in downtown Copenhagen some days ago. Together with 21 other children from Greenland, he was in 1951 moved to Denmark by the Danish government in order to create a future Danish speaking "Elite Population" in Greenland. He was one of the last children to be moved and was then 10 years old. The project turned out to be a major disaster for most of the children, and no Danish government has ever had the decency to give an excuse for this mistake.
Johannes has lived in Denmark ever since, but has maintained some contact to Greenland and still speaks the language. He was very friendly and positive to be part of the 100-project, and wished me luck in my future work.
