{343/365} Hello Canon 5D Mark II

    Newer Older

Today was so unexpected. SO unexpected. I didn't know when I woke up this morning that I would be buying the Canon 5D Mark ii. It was a last minute thing because the shop I was going to buy it from has decided to completely stop stocking the Canon 5D Mark ii, and I was devastated! I called up and they said they only have one left (the display one) and I ran to the store and bought it. I know, there are heaps of other places to buy them from but I wanted it from this specific store. It was completely last minute and I do not regret a thing. I honestly wasn't expecting to buy it for another month or two because of finance's, but here I am.. holding this amazing piece of technology.

This time last year I bought my Canon 550D, well 5 days ago - this time last year haha.

      Congrats!!
      Such a stroooong cam..
started also with APS-C, but for me it was always clear to get the 5D.
Against the image quality is nothing to compare.

      You checked for red dots?

That is so cool. I can totally appreciate the feeling. That is quite a jump, but well worth it. Also, I like the fact you supported a local camera store. My jump was only from the 500D to the 60D. ENJOY!

Have fun. Larger pixels means more light per pixel, and that means less noise. Not just the chance to use higher ISO, but more latitude to push the lows at lower ISO. A lot to look forward to.

Oh that's so cool! I've been studying this camera for weeks and I'm finally getting it in a few days! I think it's the perfect one. Hope you enjoy it a lot!!

Did they give you a deal considering it was the display model?? That is an amazing camera you have there for sure.

Only a very small deal which was hardy noticeable! They had it locked up in a shelf the entire time unless somebody wanted to look at it but I tried to reason with them because it wasn't 'brand new' but they wouldn't shove ):

I'm sure it's fine, probably would have taken it over a refurbished model for sure. I would love to have one, I am also currently shooting with the t2i. I love the clarity, especially from your 85mm shots.
