lover birds empty bowl2

    Newer Older

finished, this ones a bit shiny. Will try and take a better photo.
This picture is about the humble journey of love as husband and wife. The sparrows are simple, they are nobody special just going about their life together, collecting seed and abundance for their lives together.
The bowl is empty. It is the being which continuously stays empty in readiness to be filled again and again, providing a vessel for filling the heart and spirit with the neverending source of love which demands much of us to keep ourselves empty for its receiving.
The blossoms are the newness and promise of reward as it floats on the wind to fall gently in and around the vessel.
I am seeing in these new pieces influences of my land and culture being mixed. Of being a white woman with deep roots in the land, living in asia and following a spiritual path that is eastern influenced

This is very calming. The white patches make the whole easier on the eye. Great work.
