Week 10 out of the 52 Weeks of Food (last Sunday). This is a the empanada from the companion book to the Spain - On the Road Again PBS series with Mario Batali, Gwyneth Paltrow, Mark Bittman, and Claudia Bassols. The dish was essentially pizza crust with Spanish chorizo, pancetta, onion, and red pepper. The flavors were good, but the cooking time was off. Steve should have taken it out a few minutes earlier than indicated in the recipe, but it didn't look very browned in the light of the oven (through the dirty window in the door). The dough got a little overcooked and dry.
