The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC), India’s largest bus operator, launched a pilot corridor of a new bus service, providing higher quality service for 53,000 passengers every day. Once the system is fully expanded, it is expected to positively impact an estimated 2.5 million passengers a day by 2016.

EMBARQ India has been providing BMTC with ongoing technical support for the conceptualization, planning and implementation of the BIG Bus Network, and we are very happy with this result.
