At Christmastime you find a variety of biscuits on sale here in Spain. Most common are the polverones or "dust biscuits as we call them. There are also mantecados wrapped in gold foil and of course plenty of turrones which are akin to nougat.
In this area there are two special biscuits baked for Christmas, the toñas which are aniseed flavoured and coated in honey and these almond biscuits coated in cinnamon and sugar. It is very hard to only eat one at a time!
These are what we bought at the market yesterday.
