Hi Lorraine, what is bootcamp? I agree with Alan here this is very well thought out with the leading lines, freezing of the sugar and the shallow focus. Did you try motion blur on the sugar too? I will try to catch up with what everyone has been up to whilst I have been away from flick-r soon. Looking forward to seeing your images.

Fabulous shot Lorraine, the light is wonderful as is your choice of shutter speed to catch the sugar granules.

      DSLR Skills, Final Project Critiques:

      * This is a lovely shot with good lighting, great focus on the sugar and feeling of movement as it falls into the drink. The out of focus cakes in the background work well and the diagonal lines of the table lead the eye through the picture. Well done at being shortlisted, it's well deserved and good luck.

      * excellent shot ...nice comp ,lighting ,details , blur , textures ..a definite favourite.

      * Great shot, well composed. Like the use of differential focus Great idea to catch the sugar falling into the cup I can see it gracing any food magazine cover

      * Excellent shot. Well composed and selective focus just right. Falling sugar really brings it to life.

      * This is a shot I really liked, I love the blur of the cupcakes as well as the action of the sugar falling into the cup.

What a fab image - you managed to get both the differential focus and some frozen movement... not to mention captured the essence and mood of the moment! Very well done on being shortlisted for publication!
