This is Le Palais de Justice in Place Verdun, Aix-en-Provence.


Built on the site of the former Palace of the Sovereign Counts. In the 16th century the Palace housed the Parliament, the Court of the Auditors, the Treasury and the Cabinet. After it was demolished at the end of the 18th century, a new Palace was rebuilt according to plans by Ledoux. It was completed by 1832 by Penchaud. (A flea and antiques market is held in the Square three times a week).
