London Zoo - Statue and fountain of Ambika Paul
A statue and fountain of a little girl from the 1960s, born in India who had Leukaemia. Her family moved to London where they tried to treat her.
Ambika lived from 1963 to 1968. The statue dates from 1994.
When the Zoo was in danger of closing in 1992, the Paul family donated one million pounds to build a new Children's Zoo and the Ambika Paul Memorial Gardens.
Ambika appears to be holding a pigeon in her left hand.
