Beyond the Belgrade Plaza development, you once again come across old Coventry.

 

This time on Hill Street.

 

I approached Hill Street from Bond Street in Coventry.

 

On the left is The College of Bablake.

 

A Grade I listed building.

C14 priests' quarters for the collegiate church of St John. Remodelled 1560 as

a boys' hospital, later school. After school removed to Coundon Road, 1890, building

used as offices for General Municipal Charities and governors of Bablake School.

Road front ashlar ground floor, oversailing timber framed 1st floor on wooden brackets

and corbels. Tiled roof with 2 late C17 hipped casement dormers.
