• strategically covering up the miscrossed cable? (no snark intended, just wondering!) - aswim in knits
  • You got it! Normally, I would never leave a miscrossed cable, but I didn't notice until it was way too late to fix! Also, I kind of love the close up of the coffee cup against the cables. It WAS real coffee!

Wow Elinor, that is gorgeous! It looks like a great fit on him as well. I like the tailored look of it.

    Thanks everyone!

All I have to say is that he'd better wear the hell out of it. :)

I remember when you started this! It fits amazingly, and what I'm most impressed with is the neckline, which often looks like a major afterthought in sweaters like this, but it very nicely incorporated here.

Holy crap, Matt would love this. I don't know if I'd love KNITTING it for him, but it's seriously amazing.

@Minty: What, like 5 years ago? It feels like it, at least. Part of the problem was that I designed as I went and had to rip the neck once before I got it right. Stupid. Always plan first. It was a huge PITA to get the neck to do that in all 12 sizes, but I'm really proud that I got it to work!!

@Bertha: How tall is he? Because that's really the key to loving/hating the knitting! :)

    Fantastically gorgeous!
and I too am in LOVE with the neck - it's really the first thing that people who don't know a thing about knitting notice.

I love how relaxed it looks at the bottom, like it won't ride up. Nice work!

I just found your gorgeous Hedge Fence Sweater. This is exquisite! I love how you neatly merged the center cable into the ribbed edges and I LOVE that you placed a whole other large cable along the side seam. Genius!
