Clementine Shawlette

    Started: 11th May 2007
    Finished: 09th June 2007
Needles: 3 mm / 60 cm Inox circs
Yarn: Rohrspatz & Wollmeise sock yarn, "Drachenblut"
Pattern: Clementine Shawlette by Michele Rose Orne from Interweave KNITS Spring 2007

I used about 0.75 of the yarn, so I still have a quite a bit left. The pattern said that it should be blocked lightly to the size of 10 3/4" wide and 57 1/4" long. However, I totally blocked it out and I get 13" wide and 71" long....I quite like it blocked out like this. ;-)

@fbz_: Thanks! I have to think about how to take a better photo (probably will have to model it), since it's too big to fit in my light-box and It's soooo soft now after blocking that it wouldn't hold up. ;-p

      Yes, a modelled photo please!

I'm still not sure if I want to knit one, but yours looks so pretty ... Was one skein of Wollmeise enough?

    4. elemmaciltur 94 months ago | reply

@Annkari: Yeah, I'll try and do a model photo or get one of the SnBers to model for me. And one hank of Wollmeise sock yarn was more than enough. I used about 0.75 skein of it.

Seen on your photo stream. (?)

Nice work! Wollmeise yarn works well with that pattern.

Oh, how lovely! And you finished it pretty quickly, too. Congrats!

@Mevrouw Walvis: Thanks! At first I thought that the variegation would make it looks too busy and would drown the ridges, but I think I like it like this because it makes you look twice. ;-)

      @Yarnissima: Dank je wel!

@cauchy09: Thanks! Yeah, well, I worked on it pretty constantly....that's why it's finished pretty quickly. Besides, the pattern is easy to remember once you get past all the decreases and increases.

That's gorgeous! Funny how you can see something in a book or magazine and be unimpressed, but then have a different reaction when someone else makes it and photographs it. I'm putting this on my list!

@bookgrump: Ahhhhh...another person to be added to my list of Clementine-Enabled. :-p

Wow! This turned out wonderful. I might have to try this with one of my skeins I have stashed away. did you make any pattern modifications?

    15. elemmaciltur 94 months ago | reply

@sbgeddes: You mean with your Wollmeise? Which colourway? No, I didn't make any modification whatsoever.

    16. sbgeddes 94 months ago | reply

Yes - I recently got an order of six skeins. I'm not sure which I'll use. I need to go take some photos of the wollmeise too. I got a sample set too because I love your photos!

@sbgeddes: Oooooh, can't wait to see which colourways you got!
