    For: Tanja

Last month, I test-knitted a wrist warmer pattern from my boss over atLanaiolo for a project she's got going....and the thing was perfect. She had two versions of the wrist warmer, one that goes up the palm and has thumb-gusset, and one that is only a tube (I test-knitted the latter version).

A couple of weekends ago Dr. D and I were at one of his friend's place for dinner. She saw my Silk Garden Kolenyas and asked me whether I could knit something of the kind for her....and for once, I said yes to knitting for other people. :-) She said she wanted something elegant, so the pattern I test-knitted seemed to be perfect.

I sure hope Dr. D's friend is going to like it. In return, she's painting me a picture. ;-)

I haven't been knitting on this for a week...but well, Dr. D and I are going to be seeing his friend this Thursday, so I sucked it up and finished the thing within a day. ;-)

I'm really happy with the result...although I had to fudge the thumb gusset a bit (you wouldn't notice if you're not a knitter).

And I know, my hands are just too nobbly for this kind of modelling. :-p

They really do qualify for elegant. She will be very pleased, I'm sure.

Very elegant! I bet she will be pleased as punch (or should that be eggnog this time of the year?).
Your hands just fine btw, not nobbly at all. :)
