Goodbye Edmonton, hello Vancouver :-)
Next week I'll tell you all about my amazing experiences in Edmonton where I got to meet so many nice people.
Yesterday, a few members of Rescue 4 Life and I got to rescue 4 dogs from one of the Indian Reserves; all of them suffer from mange, and have tons of worms.
Thank you Rachel, Liz, Lori and Troy so much for this adventure :-)
In the picture it's me with two of the kids on the reserve, Dawson Rain, and Jewel Rain (and of course Buddy on my lap). I will make sure to send the remaining 10 copies of our book to the kids on the reserve, so they will learn how animals should be treated (there are a lot of problems there with animal neglect and abuse).
Both Jewel and Dawson are taking really good care of their dog, and they will be able to read your comments here - so please say HI to them :-)
If you guys have any ideas on how to reach these kids, I would love to hear it. Education is the key here, and I want to do something that will have a strong impact.
If you are in Vancouver (BC), please join us this evening at the Waldorf Hotel where you can meet many local rescuers.
You can see the address in the flyer below (scroll down).
I hope to see / meet many of you guys :-)
