..cause this land's the place I love...

Coming through the other side of a bit of a surprise illness (in fact, apart from a visit to A&E this has been the first time I've ventured away from the bedroom!) so unfortunately I've not been out to take any new shots.

Thankfully I've still got a million raws on the hard disk to process :)

Wanted to give this one an old school and 'arty' feel to it whilst still making it suitably 'bling'

Cheers for the messages/comments, I'll get back to you all asap

As always, best viewed large! :)

  • Emma Hillier 6y

where did you shoot this from Lee? I've been asked loads to take shots like this and people want to pay me so think I'd better give it a go even tho it's not my usual subject type!!
  • Lee Carus 6y

Hey Emma - of course this will be subject to my 10% location finders commision I take it? ;)

It's a really popular location for photographers - most nights where the light is good you can expect to see 3 or 4 down there.

I'll geotag it for you now.
  • John Kennan 6y

  • Phil Brandwood 6y

Stupendous, spectacular, really smacked me in the face this one. You must be pleased with the result. How much of that reflection is real?
  • Andy O'Hare 6y

If you can see it, it's 'real' ;)
  • Lee Carus 6y

:) Cheers Andy - Thanks Phil.

For sure I wanted to help this image along to bring it inline with the vision I had in my head, I make no bones about that. I'm an artist at the end of the day and I just wanted a Liverpool skyline shot that would get people talking and reflect the beauty of our changing cityscape.

    Hopefully it has! :)

If you're in town Phil, get down to the bomb out church - its on display with 25 other shots from local photographers (Thurs-Sun 12-4 Aug 1-30).

I shoot this scene regularly, but none of my shots have ever come close to this stunning image.
    Absolutely amazing.
Looks like it was taken from beside the Seacombe ferry.
  • Janet Knox 6y

Wonderful picture, makes me homesick, I love the huge amount of detail you've caught.
