Barton Springs Pool is all natural water from the springs at the other end of this pool. The spring produces about 27 million gallons of water per day that flows into Lady Bird Lake and the Colorado River in downtown Austin. This water stays about 72 degrees year round. This has been a recreation spot for hundreds of years - it was popular with local indians before white men arrived in this area (1730) to setup concession stands and charge admission (since 1837)
Panaroma made from two photos taken from the dam at the Lady Bird Lake end of the pool. This is not an HDR processed photo.
