Rose Pool, version 2, sunlight

Does the sunlight help? The other image was in poor light at night... but I'm not planning on erasing any more backgrounds for this version, because I'd rather spend my efforts on improving it.

Anyway, I imagine this to be the Queen's rose pool.... it would be part of the same palace grounds that the courtyard I previously made are in, with some similar walls/trellises and arches.

The pool would be filled with water for bathing (the queen would never "go swimming" -- that's for the peasants, you know).

Hi, I'm an admin for a group called Lego moc's, and we'd love to have this added to the group!

    That's one sweet pool : )

Yes the sunlight does make it look very nice!
  • Space2310 5y

Oh yes! That's much better. Nice pool :)

    Thanks. ;-)

As I said on Classic-Castle, this pool is lovely. I'd love to have a real one like it.

I've posted it on TBB, so feel free to add it to the Blogged by The Brothers Brick group, if you so desire.

Really Nice. That's a castle creation you don't see any day. Apart from the obvious, I dig how you did the white fence with headlight bricks. I'm also somehow hungry for ice cream now...

floodllama that reminds me, can you invite the pic with the dogs? I'd like to add it as well.

    Thank you!

    Ice cream... yum yum! ;-)

Nice! You could buy a bunch of trans-blue 1x1 round plates and fill the pool up with them, so it'd look like there's water in it.
  • Katie Walker 5y

Thanks! I've thought of filling it with "water", but then decided to just leave it so that the design could be seen. Real water wouldn't obscure the design, but LEGO pieces probably would.

    This is beautiful!

I dig that it looks like a simple idea, but looking at the larger pic shows a very complicated build. Great work.

Thanks Octopunk. Yeah, it was quite a headache! I really wished for some 45 degree cheeseslopes, and just slopes in general that ended in a true point, instead of the chunky little edge that they have. But then I suppose everybody has their wish-list of what LEGO ought to make. ;-)

When I first saw this a while ago I thought it looked like a blood pool.
  • Katie Walker 5y

Hey, Unitronus, I guess it could be a blood pool to go with our blood fountain (of the DUPLO variety!):

    Thank you pilho. :-)

Great stuff, well done actually including this in a finished MOC, I'm sure that was no small challenge =)

I accidentally made this photo private, too -- which broke all links and erased all favorites. Flickr really ought to warn you before they let you do things like that!

[Shunazaver] Thanks! I see you're going back into the older photos I've got; I'm glad you like them.
