Hammy's still looking for a home and family. Poor guy, he's been bounced around a lot. Maybe because he's not a pit bull, it's been easy to find fosters and people interested in adopting, but we're having a hard time finding someone who is both a good match for Hammy and ready to make the commitment of adopting. This is probably in part a problem of my expectations. I thought it would be so much easier with a beagle/shepherd/lab (mutt) like Hammy rather than a pit bull, but the other side of that coin is that when you find someone interested in adopting a pit bull, they tend to be informed, experienced, and committed enough to promise permanency--at least as much as is possible in this world!
