The Brave... Guard.

    Newer Older

This brave guard of St. James Palace in London looks as a young boy. Even uniform is too big for him... Anyway he was passed fit for military sevice... So... he's here and this place is totally secured now...

Nice use of grain to emphasize the strong textural qualities of the shot imparted by the fur of the hat, felt of the jacket & roughness of the stone. Good portrait as well. YES from me.

I'm not enjoying the post-processing on this. I think you went overboard with the HDR and as a result the image looks quite flat and artificial. It almost looks like you used some kind of edge-enhancing filter.
Sorry, not my thing, a NO from me.

I have to agree with blinked on this one. I am not a big fan of the overprocessing done here. Looks a bit over the top. Photo looks extreemely flat with no dimension to it at all. I think I would prefer to see the original without any post processing done. I also think the frame brings way to much grey into it. No from me for the main pool, others will be along shortly.
