I wish there was a way , to really represent the outstanding quality afforded, by such nice large format images on Flickr!
Alas we must try to get a feeling for them....

I saw the work of another photographer previously who also shot on X-ray film. The work looked like crap, so I never gave it a second thought. But this just seems to have such a wonderful range of tonality (and the image is pretty darn good as well). I saw in the previous image that you were rating the film @100 and developing in Rodinal @1:50. Are you tray processing these? What kind of agitation are you using?

Yes, tray processed in rodinal 1+50. I sloshed the tray a couple of times a minute. Processing by inspection is so much fun!

Xray film is made in high contrast and "latitude" types. I chose latitude. Maybe the other guy was struggling with the steep curve you get with hicon film?

Whether it's the choice of latitude, or the fact that this is Fuji rather than yellow box, I prefer this. Rodinal doesn't hurt. :)

I'm thinkin ... get some and cut it down to 4x5 for my kit. Hmmm ...
