ECBC continues to train with Cecil County Public Schools teachers on a new digital math learning tool
Elkton, Md. ─ Scientists and engineers from the U.S. Army Edgewood Chemical Biological Center (ECBC) recently trained side by side with 19 middle school math and technology teachers at Cecil County Public Schools for the second time.
In an effort to help convey and reinforce mathematical concepts in an exciting way, they collectively identified techniques to implement the new digital math learning tool in the classroom.
“It was a great and fulfilling experience to dedicate some of our knowledge and time to the community we live in,” said Rabih Jabbour, who works as a chemist/bio analyst at ECBC.
This educational outreach initiative, sponsored by the National Defense Education Program, is designed to provide math teachers with an extra tool in their toolbox to make learning math more fun for local middle school students.
