Bleak Crossing — Ophir Bridge, Central Otago

This one was taken on my Central Otago trip, but I held off processing it until I had the method down right. I have no idea whatsoever where this was taken, haha. Someone else was driving... The sky was like this the entire day, so I had to be a little creative with my angles.

This needed a fair bit of recovery. My camera was having some focus issues on the day in question. Apon post processing, I had to selectivly sharpen certain areas as well as do some heavy noise reduction... I'd love to get rid of the colour fringing on the bridge supports, but it's not so noticible unless you zoom right in.

Enjoy!

    Two notes worth mentioning...
    1. If you think this shot isn't straight, the bridge is on the piss. Not the camera.
    2. There is a little piece of wood that has jumped out of its hole in the lower right.

Love the color in this one. The red really pops out against the rest of the image. Great work.

lovely shot. I like the red too. and reading your description, I hate color fringing as well.... it's so annoying! Sky is really interesting, I think. Good processing.

Kelley Bard Cheers Kelly, I find taking tie time to describe the scene through my eyes really helps sell the result :-)
That and its a very therapeutic process for me personally, haha...
