Milwaukee County Grounds
In 2010 the Wauwatosa Common Council's committee on community development rezoned two portions of the 235 acre Northeast Quadrant of the Milwaukee County Grounds. 89 acres is now a business district being developed by the UWM Real Estate Foundation as Innovation Park. 55 acres is zoned conservancy and is now County Grounds County Park.

The photos are from throughout the County Grounds. Many are from the Monarch Trail, part of the County Grounds that hosts a stop over roosting site for monarch butterflies migrating from Canada to Mexico. They congregate in the few remaining trees at sunset, which is often also spectacular out on the grounds.
