California Dreamin' on Such a Winter's Day
Since I consider Venice, California to be sort of like my photographic muse, I’m posting three different views from three separate vacations. My previous post, my “Lucky Thirteen” where I went back to my hotel room and seeing the shot on a laptop, I became an instant shutterbug. It was actually the thirteenth time I took a digital photograph.
On my second trip to Venice with a camera I had more experience and crazy clicker fingers. This shot was not the best in the lot, just my favorite from the spring of 2007. The mural is by Rip Cronk, the same artist as the trompe l'oeil in the first photo and the building in the background is the same as the acrobat's perspective foreground. I also liked the shadow of the palm tree on the sunny wall to compliment the relationship between the hot rodder and the mural.
