More centered and properly rotated now. Version 2.0.
A while ago I decided to go "commercial" and call the business Edart International Enterprises.
As a painter it all was quite okay. Some works in commission, free works sold well at artfairs and in galleries, but it is hard to maintain a good stockpile so I decided to start making prints and to be a bit more agressive on searching for opportunities to get to a broader public.
That is why my work is now to be found on more spots on the internet, but also
physically in giftshops, libraries, and such. I used to hate being called "commercial". Reminiscence of a solid art education. An old dogma made that we were never taught to sell our works. Nowadays there is a bit more attention to this part of our artistship and it is not a dirty word any more.
And I must say. It is even fun !
Now available as postcards and signed and numbered print at www.edart.etsy.com
The artcards do well fortunately. Some of my pictures are licensed at Gettyimages. A gamble for you never know if it is picked up by the public but some of these works can be offered signed and numbered as limited editions.
This one is not licensed yet, but a few of my best ones are. Check them out in the set.
For now this little self-promotion. Hope to see you around. If you are a retailer or if you know a place where they might be interested in my works, please contact me by flickrmail.
